Mad Brown Knitwear is a small, sustainable knitwear brand that has a focus on changing the relationship that people have with their clothes.
Creating sustainable and resourcable garments, Mad Brown Knitwear reclaims used Aran, pure wool jumpers which are repaired and reworked to give an old piece of knitwear a new lease life. These jumpers are in often discarded because they are unwanted and unloved. With signs of significant wear, they are carefully repaired and restored to prevent them from a lost life in landfill. Each jumper is one of a kind. No two are the same. By embroidering colour into the knitwear it emphasises the intricacy of the cable pattern design. This colourful addition gives the jumper a new form.

Mad Brown Knitwear was created in 2018 by Madeline Brown, a Fashion Textiles graduate from London College of Fashion.
